To Vogue or Bust: Curated Collection

Blogger Alexandra Grant didn’t have to get far into the law school enrollment process to realize it wasn’t the right path for her. A few days after her 23rd birthday, she realized that she would rather follow a career driven by passion rather than a desire for a stable income. With that sudden realization To Vogue or Bust was born. Following Alexandra’s daily life, To Vogue or Bust features daily style posts, musings and beauty tips. Alexandra also works at Obakki, a fashion line and charity that donates 100% of its net proceeds toward water and education projects in developing countries.

Already a fan, we were excited to get her input on some of her favorite glasses shapes and styles and can be interchanged based on your look of the day.

I love these frames because they’re “just a little” everything: just a little nerdy, just a little hipster, just a little haute, just a little classic. They’re the perfect addition to a laid-back yet eclectic look for a summer weekend by the seaside.

Striated Classic

These Joseph Marc glasses may have a thick frame, but they’re sleek and chic enough to be worn with minimal styling. I’m looking forward to wearing these all summer long with simply the most classic of pieces (other than a jolt of neon here and there, perhaps).

Color Pop

These purple frames have enough style statement to carry a white-tee-and-jeans combo alone, but I like to up the fun factor and pair them with an equally colorful dress. A thrown together stack of bracelets and loose hair gives the purple pairing just enough of a casual vibe.

Alexandra Grant often accessorizes her look with these Derek Cardigan Sun 7003 Black sunglasses. This classic Retro-Wingtip style is updated in a thinner, more modern, design in glossy black acetate. For a prescription option shop Derek Cardigan 7003 Black glasses frames (or any of our frames), input your Rx and add sunglasses tinting in gray or brown for your own customized pair of sunglasses.
