How to style Flat Matte frames for fall

Glasses are a great way to reinvent your style and, come this fall, Flat Matte frames will be the latest trend to take over your optical wardrobe.

To both rejuvenate for a new blogging season, and to celebrate my five year wedding anniversary, I went on a fabulous road trip to Comox, B.C –just a short ferry ride from Vancouver. It was a perfect weekend getaway of relaxation and indulgence and, to top it off, I got to wear two of the latest flat matte frames for fall that paired flawlessly with my road trip attire.

For the first couple of days, I went around exploring wonderful waterfalls and beaches of the island in these beautiful purple matte Derek Cardigan Billie frames. They’re great for smaller foreheads, wider jaw lines with angular features like mine. The thin flat metal style allowed me to achieve an effortless elegance even in the outdoors and paired nicely with overalls and hats that completed the whole look. I also chose the BlueReflect® lenses to help me reduce glare and eyestrain caused by cell phones, computers screens and artificial light at home. Practical yet fashionable, the combination of the matte dark purple frames and the blue lenses takes the trend of nerdy chic to a whole new level.

Whether I am dressing up in gingham for styled shoot or laying low with plaid and a cup of hot cocoa, I love wearing these fun and versatile geometric Joseph Marc Kent frames in a matte golden yellow. The quality of Italian handmade acetate, coupled with a smart contemporary design, makes these spectacles ideal for everyday styling. Like a great red lipstick or a pair of treasured statement earrings, a stylish pair of glasses will instantly help transform your look in spectacular fashion.
