The LensAlert! digital timer provides people with an easy way to track their lens and case wear. Contact lenses start to break down after the recommended wearing period causing rips or pieces of the lens to tear off. Lens cases can develop bacteria and fungi after only 3 months of use and though it is good practice to boil the case in hot water, it will never entirely remove the bacteria that seeps into the plastic material of the case. LensAlert! is very beneficial for maintaining ocular health.

Great idea for starters

Unfortunately, our unit did not function properly. The pull tab to activate unit tore off and did not come all the way out, consequently the battery never made contact and had to contact Coastal.com to have a replacement sent. However in light of this the product seems to be well made in both design and material choice. Your contact lens case sets inside the depression and does not snap in it just sits there. Overall it is a nice product and will help new users get into the habit of tracking when to replace their lenses and lens case.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
