The first week I got these glasses and started wearing them I got 2 varied reactions:
The first was from people who didn't realize I wore contacts and thought that my vision deteriorated badly over night and thus I needed really huge glasses. They asked me 'What happened?' as if I now had some sort of handicap.
The second came from people who understood the trend and look I was going for and actually gave me compliments on how awesome these glasses were.
If you're looking for a bold pair to define that certain chic/nerd style then these will do that for you.
I don't know that I necessarily appreciate the multiply and divide symbols on the outer edges as much as I should because they add, in part, to the whole look and separate them from the dozens of other frames in the same style so it will set you apart from the crowd even more. Also, the bottom of the frames are a bit more rounder than I had hoped. I would've preferred a slightly more boxy style but it's alright, it's kind of a hybrid of both in my opinion.
Overall, I'm not sure that these would be the perfect pair for my face personally (yours is another story) but I make it work and wear them almost every day. I bought them for functionality first, and style second, and I feel like I got enough of both out of this pair to not worry or complain.
Feels true to size
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
