People-Based SafetyTM is an innovative new approach to safety that goes beyond behavior-based safety to focus on human thoughts and attitudes to promote safe behavior. Transforming the way employees conceptualize the way they work helps them approach each task in a safer manner. It makes them more aware of the dangers associated with their work and the best way to approach them. The program is based on four key skill areas—Acting, Coaching, Thinking and Seeing (ACTS). By mastering these important skills, employees develop a new awareness about safety that will guide them as they work and motivate them to care about their co-workers' safety, too.
