I have plenty of pairs of glasses, but wanted a pair I wouldn't generally gravitate towards. These slightly oversized frames are perfect. They're a dark brown (but could pass as black), with flecks of green when you're in the light. A perfect "tortoise". I love that the frames are wide enough to fit my face (I generally find that frames are too wide for me). Once I get used to the slightly larger lenses, I think these will be perfect! I'm already getting compliments from coworkers.
These frames are truly just as good for girls as they are for guys!

Joseph Marc makes such nice high quality glasses! I was so excited that these looked so good on my very small face. I had previously ordered Derek Cardigans and they were too big, these are stylish but not yelling GLASSES! I only have two comments, one is the arms at 145 are a little long for me, the other is that my frame is brown tortoise, it says green in it, but its very much brown and yellow brown. Some of the reviews mentioned black, mine are quite light especially outside.

Got these from the first pair free offer and I'm very happy with them.
To echo one of the other comments, there is really no green in the frame at all (not sure why they have green in the description). The color is more of a dark chocolate/whisky color with very slight tortoise accents.
Really the only way to see the toroise is in direct light and even then it's very slight. The frames are sturdy and love the spring hinges.
Great fit for those who have medium/rounder faces like myself.
Overall it's a classic/stylish masculine look, with a bit of nerd cred thrown in. Great for the casual work environment, weekend or going out.

I wanted to be able to write a review for the girls out there. I usually wear contacts so I was in the search for something fun and trendy. These glasses are perfect, not too 'manly' for women. Since I had already read the previous review, I knew what color they were (mine are mostly black with a few hints of translucent green). The glasses are fun, comfortable, and they arrived in less than a week after ordering them. I am highly satisfied with these glasses and with Costal.com's service.

I would classify these as more of a black/VERY dark chocolate brown than the "dark green tortiose" in the title. In direct sunlight the hints of green come out, but they are subtle -- as in the description pictures. They are glossy-ish, so when light hits it they shine as opposed to the matte black pair of JM 4071s I have. Still, a great pair, and I am a big fan of JM 4071 as a pair of stylish spectacles.
