Comments about Hickey Freeman Cape Cod Tortoise:

I'm a sucker for tortise frames, and although I've never tried a round shape, I decided to give these a try. First impressions when opening the case were great - they are very cute and look expensive. However when I tried them on, they were crooked and when I put them flat on the counter, only one arm was touching it. I exchanged them for another pair, and after wearing them all day for about 3 days straight, I started to feel pain behind my ear right where the arms rested against my head. By the end of the day I had to keep taking the glasses off and on just for a little relief. Although these are very cute, I'll be returning them. I would still say it's worth a shot - I could just have an oversized head.

Comments about Hickey Freeman Cape Cod Tortoise:

I decided to be a little risky, by picking out this frame for my new glasses for the upcoming fall season. I knew I wanted something I could wear pretty much all year, but especially something a little bolder too. I was thinking just going for a shape I knew suited my face (more of a square/wayfarer style). However, I stumbled across these Hickey Freeman frames, which I thought were unique!

These frames kind of remind of multiple styles at once; they are round, slightly cat eyed, kind of remind of a round wayfarer style, but they also slightly remind me of aviators too (just a tiny bit!). They are a funky frame and might require a little bit of confidence to pull them off. These Cape Cod frames are definitely a great statement piece. I love how much detail was put in this frame style. The tortoiseshell pattern is exactly what I was looking for! Great contrast between the colors. I also love all the metal detailing the metal accents on the front of the frame, but also how the sides are metal not just acetate. To me all these little details make these frames more special. Oh and how can I almost forget the awesome keyhole bridge! Can you guys tell I in love with them? They also feel really sturdy. <3

I love these frames! The only thing that keeps them from being completely perfect is that the edges of the lenses are not polished. So you can kind of see how thick my lenses are. However, I knew it would be that way since Coastal does not offer lens polishing. Though it would be awesome if they did, even if it costs a little more...It helps makes the frames look even better for people like me whose eyes are above a negative 10. Since I'm used to the lens not be absolutely perfect its not too big of a deal and will not keep me from wearing them.

Overall I love these frames and they make an awesome addition to my glasses collection!
