I have been wearing contacts since I was 13 years old - I'm now 35. While I've never worn hard lenses, I have had my fair share of soft lenses that had to be removed every night. Let's face it, when you have 2 busy children and work a full time job, the last thing you have time for in the morning is trying to put in your contacts. I change mine at the beginning of each month and I love it. I no longer have to fumble my way to the bathroom in the middle of the night!

I've liked optix Focus contacts and I know these are the newer line, but for some reason when I was pulling them out after only 3 hours of use, my eyes were stinging like crazy. They were also very uncomfortable from the get go and dried up my eyes up. I tried putting in drops prior to pulling out the contacts, but it didn't seem to moisten the contact enough, which most likely caused the stinging when pulling out the contacts. I would not pick these up or recommend to anyone.

Comments about Air Optix Night & Day Aqua:

Long story short: Use them as dailies at first. When I first put them in they were unbearable - very very uncomfortable. I found that if you take them out and wash them every night for around a week, it makes it a little easier. Eventually they were fine and actually I think it was just my eyes getting used to them. Now I only wash if it's irritable which is maybe 1 night max.
The other thing I found, because I like to stretch my lenses, is that these lenses really tell you when it's time to change. You will notice almost immediately and sometimes that's 1 month, sometimes it is 6 weeks.
Otherwise, these lenses are great. It's like LASIK only...not.

One con for many Pros, you decide

    Pros

    • Comfortable
    • Easy To Put In
    • Gentle On Eyes

    Cons

    • Tear easily

    Best Uses

    • Monthly use
    • Sensitive Eyes
    • Sleeping In

Comments about Air Optix Night & Day Aqua:

These were the first pair of contacts I could wear without major irritation to my eyes. I really like that I can fall asleep in them - and it actually turns out very useful, because, unfortunately, taking them out and putting them in can cause tears on the edges rather easily. Beyond that one con, I love them. I can completely forget I'm wearing them and even forget I have sight issues, until it's time to switch to next month's pair! I have super sensitive eyes, and though I know it varies from person to person, I'd suggest these for those who still can't find a contact that won't bug their eyes.

Comments about Air Optix Night & Day Aqua:

I have tried the Night and Day lens twice now because I know they are suppose to let more oxygen in. I just can't wear them. They make my eyes hurt and are very uncomfortable when I first wake up. They get cloudy and feel like a film forms on them. I will go back to Acuvue Oasis.

        Worst Contacts Ever Worn

        By Very Disappointed

        from Washington DC

        Pros

        • Easy To Put In

        Cons

        • Irritates Eyes
        • Uncomfortable

        Best Uses

Comments about Air Optix Night & Day Aqua:

I used Acuvue contacts for years and switched to the Air Optix because I worked long hours and always had my contacts in. From the very first day I put the Air Optix in I had nothing but problems. They were extremely irritating to my eyes. Very uncomfortable to wear. My eyes would get real foggy and I couldn't see anything. Regardless of how many drops I put in my eyes the fog never went away. They made my eyes sting and were very aggravating. I replaced them several times thinking it may have just been that pair, but they all did the same thing. It got so bad I just stopped wearing them and started wearing my glasses again until I was able to go back and get a prescription for a new brand of contacts. I went back to Acuvue and have not had any more problems, my eyes feel great.

Comments about Air Optix Night & Day Aqua:

I started using these a few years ago and I have since tried Acuvue Oasis hoping they would be comparable and less costly, but I could hardly wear them for a day. Nothing compares to my Air Optix Night and Day contacts. I don't wear them 24/7 for 30 days because my eyes are pretty sensitive and I just don't want to try it, but since others have great success with it, I'm sure they are great. I just love how they breath and the red veins in my eyes have lightened and decreased since wearing Air Optix. Love this product!!!

Comments about Air Optix Night & Day Aqua:

I have been wearing these brands for a year, and I am only fairly satisfied, due to the fact that they are too delicate and the corners have ripped easily. I would not recommend leaving them on for 30 consecutive days. I have to soak them in solution at least once every 3 days, because in the morning, my eyes become very dry.

For the most part, they are ok, they just need to be durable.

I have a hard time putting my contacts in and this is why I really like these. I put them in and had no problem for the whole 30 days. I work in an ER and glasses fog up and slip off and these take care of that problem. I really cannot afford to buy these on a regular basis.
