Dr. Geller is an Alumni Distinguished Professor, and a Fellow of the American Psychological Association, the Association of Psychological Science, and the World Academy of Productivity and Quality Sciences. Dave Johnson is a journalist, editor and researcher with more than 25 years of experience reporting on organizational safety issues. His over 500 magazine feature articles have covered topics including world-class organizational safety cultures, management systems, senior leadership for safety, behavioral safety, close calls, complacency, selling safety to executives, safety coaching and teamwork, perception surveys, risk assessment, techno stress, performance metrics, and gaining employee buy-in. Johnson has also reported on safety culture improvement efforts at NASA, the Los Alamos Testing Laboratory, and Fortune 500 corporations. In 1995, he edited Dr. E. Scott Geller’s book, The Psychology of Safety. Dave has presented research findings and issues and trends updates at scores of safety society and association conferences across the United States.
